Frequently Asked Questions
Each session is 55 minutes long. Our therapists are skilled in tailoring the pace of the session to your child in order to maximize progress while ensuring your child stays engaged and motivated throughout each session.
Every child is different. During your consultation, we'll assess your child's current abilities and discuss whether an intensive program is the right fit for their needs and your family's goals. We do have a 45lb weight limit for DMI intensives but are happy to discuss modified DMI options for children who exceed our weight limit.
Infants as young as 5 weeks with known neurological involvement or those who are at risk of disability benefit greatly from Dynamic Movement Intervention to address areas of neurological concern and improve long term outcomes by forming healthy neural pathways early on.
All children will need supportive shoes that fit appropriately without orthotics, regardless of current gross motor ability. We're big fans of Memo Shoes if you are looking for some supportive shoes for your child.
It's normal for children to need time to adjust to the challenging nature of DMI exercises. Even if your child is struggling with emotional regulation, our team is dedicated to ensuring your child feels safe, seen, and supported to continue to get the most out of each session.
We create a nurturing environment where most children adapt quickly as they begin to feel stronger, more confident, and better able to get the most out of their DMI experience.
