Hear from Richardson-area families who found breakthrough results

"Starting something new, especially for your kids, can make any parent feel nervous and uneasy, to say the least. However, after day one and day two, I was blown away. Dr. Kayla was extremely patient with my son who had a few rough days, but she helped him push through. Seeing the improvement within a few days was so exciting and shocking. We can't wait to see y'all again in a few months."
Rachel Pacheco
"Truly blown away by how amazing Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Kayla are. I took my son for a two week intensive and watched him grow tremendously. Not only are they knowledgeable, they are patient and kind. Their commitment to my son's progress means more than I can put into words."
Sarah Hall
"By day two of the first week we were already seeing positive changes in our daughter's motor skills, balance and strength. By the end of the first week she was walking independently and doing things we were not sure she would be able to do in the next 6 months let alone in one week. I truly wish we had found them sooner!!"
Bailey Funke
"Dr. Tiffany was excellent- professional, knowledgeable, kind, and motherly. It was truly amazing how much progress we saw during our intensive. I had been working with our baby on rolling every single day with traditional PT exercises since he was 2 months old, and he just wasn’t getting it. On day 9 of the intensive, I took him home and he rolled independently 6 times. He hasn’t stopped rolling since! I am excited to see what skills he can achieve next with Dallas DMI! Really impressed with the doctors and the facility was extremely clean and just what you would want for your child."
"We have done 5 intensives with Dallas DMI since Jan 2024! We have watched our daughter grow so much physically and even intellectually during this time! She is strong willed, but Dr. Tiffany and Emily have found ways to work with our daughter to reach her full potential! They are honest, they provide great feedback and are real about the dedication it takes both with them and at home to see these changes last."
"Our son completed his first intensive in February of this year, and we were truly astonished at the progress he made during those two weeks. We were also thoroughly impressed at the knowledge and genuine care that Dr. Tiffany and Emily provide. We look forward to scheduling another intensive and continuing to be a part of the Dallas DMI family."

Your Questions Answered

Everything you need to know about DMI intensive therapy

1. What makes DMI intensive therapy different from traditional weekly physical therapy?

DMI intensive therapy uses daily 55-minute sessions over two weeks (10 or 20 sessions total) to stimulate neuroplasticity—your child's brain's ability to form new neural pathways. This concentrated approach with carefully designed exercises against gravity provokes specific motor responses that weekly therapy simply can't achieve. Families often see breakthrough progress after months or years of traditional therapy with limited results.

2. What age children do you treat for hypotonia and related conditions?

We work with infants and young children, sometimes as young as a few weeks old, through early childhood. Our DMI-certified therapists specialize in treating hypotonia, hypertonia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental delays, genetic syndromes, and prematurity. During your free phone consultation, we'll discuss whether your child is a good candidate for our intensive programs.

3. How does the 2-week intensive format work?

You can choose between once-daily sessions (10 total sessions over two weeks) or twice-daily sessions (20 total sessions over two weeks). Most families travel to our Richardson clinic for the intensive period. Each 55-minute session challenges your child's neurological system with therapist-guided movements designed to unlock motor milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. We provide parent education so you can continue supporting progress at home.

4. Do you accept insurance for DMI intensive therapy?

Insurance coverage varies by plan. During your free phone consultation, we'll discuss payment options and help you understand your specific situation. Many families find the concentrated intensive format more cost-effective than months of traditional weekly therapy, especially given the breakthrough results our families achieve. Our team is here to support you through every step of the process.
