Your child deserves more than waiting and hoping. You're not alone in this journey.

When Weekly PT Isn't Enough for Your Child

You've been showing up every week, doing the exercises, and cheering every small effort. But your child still isn't hitting milestones—and the uncertainty of not knowing why, or what comes next, is exhausting.

Progress Has Stalled

Traditional once-weekly therapy has its place, but for children with neurological or developmental conditions, the frequency often isn't enough to stimulate the lasting brain-body connections needed for real milestone gains.

You Feel Stuck and Unsure

Watching other children reach milestones your child hasn't—rolling, sitting, walking—while wondering if there's something more you could be doing is one of the hardest feelings a caregiver can carry.

You Need a Specialized Path Forward

Medically complex children and infants with neurodevelopmental conditions need more than a generalized approach. They need intensive, targeted therapy designed specifically for the neurological system—and a team that truly understands why.

Why Richardson Families Choose Dallas DMI

"My son completed an intensive with Dr. Tiffany about 6 weeks ago. Before starting, he had taken only a few steps independently. Now he is walking 20–30 steps INDEPENDENTLY and more confident overall. We are so thankful for Dallas DMI."

Your Child's Path to Breakthrough Motor Milestones

Comprehensive Initial Evaluation

We assess your child's movement patterns, muscle tone, and motor control while learning about your family's goals and your child's unique needs related to cerebral palsy.

Personalized Daily Intensive Sessions

Your child receives 55-minute DMI therapy sessions each day for 2 weeks, using dynamic exercises designed to challenge their nervous system and stimulate neuroplasticity for lasting progress.

 Watch Milestones Unfold

Through repetition and the brain's ability to form new neural pathways, your child begins achieving functional movements—rolling, sitting, reaching, crawling, walking—that become automatic and lasting.

Hear from Richardson-area families who found breakthrough results

"Starting something new, especially for your kids, can make any parent feel nervous and uneasy, to say the least. However, after day one and day two, I was blown away. Dr. Kayla was extremely patient with my son who had a few rough days, but she helped him push through. Seeing the improvement within a few days was so exciting and shocking. We can't wait to see y'all again in a few months."
Rachel Pacheco
"Truly blown away by how amazing Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Kayla are. I took my son for a two week intensive and watched him grow tremendously. Not only are they knowledgeable, they are patient and kind. Their commitment to my son's progress means more than I can put into words."
Sarah Hall
"By day two of the first week we were already seeing positive changes in our daughter's motor skills, balance and strength. By the end of the first week she was walking independently and doing things we were not sure she would be able to do in the next 6 months let alone in one week. I truly wish we had found them sooner!!"
Bailey Funke
"Dr. Tiffany was excellent- professional, knowledgeable, kind, and motherly. It was truly amazing how much progress we saw during our intensive. I had been working with our baby on rolling every single day with traditional PT exercises since he was 2 months old, and he just wasn’t getting it. On day 9 of the intensive, I took him home and he rolled independently 6 times. He hasn’t stopped rolling since! I am excited to see what skills he can achieve next with Dallas DMI! Really impressed with the doctors and the facility was extremely clean and just what you would want for your child."
"We have done 5 intensives with Dallas DMI since Jan 2024! We have watched our daughter grow so much physically and even intellectually during this time! She is strong willed, but Dr. Tiffany and Emily have found ways to work with our daughter to reach her full potential! They are honest, they provide great feedback and are real about the dedication it takes both with them and at home to see these changes last."
"Our son completed his first intensive in February of this year, and we were truly astonished at the progress he made during those two weeks. We were also thoroughly impressed at the knowledge and genuine care that Dr. Tiffany and Emily provide. We look forward to scheduling another intensive and continuing to be a part of the Dallas DMI family."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about DMI intensive therapy at Dallas DMI in Richardson, TX—before your first call.

What is DMI therapy?

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a specialized pediatric physical therapy technique that uses carefully designed exercises against gravity to challenge a child's neurological system. These exercises stimulate neuroplasticity—helping the brain form new neural pathways—to unlock motor milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking.

How is DMI intensive therapy different from weekly PT?

Traditional once-weekly physical therapy provides less frequent stimulation to the neurological system. DMI intensive therapy delivers daily 55-minute sessions over a focused 2-week block, creating a higher-frequency environment that drives faster and more lasting milestone gains for children with developmental and neurological conditions.

What ages and conditions do you treat?

We serve infants and children with a wide range of neurological, developmental, and genetic conditions—including cerebral palsy, hypotonia, hypertonia, Down syndrome, developmental delay, SMA, NICU graduates, and medically complex children. We welcome families whose children are not meeting milestones even without a confirmed diagnosis.

How long is a DMI intensive?

Our standard intensive is 2 weeks of daily sessions, Monday through Friday, with 55-minute DMI sessions available once or twice daily. Our team will recommend the right format based on your child's assessment and goals.
